The U.S. Air Force initially denied any military activity in the area, then revised the statement two weeks later to confirm that 10 F-16s from the 457th Fighter Squadron at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth had been on a training exercise. Subsequent FOIA-released FAA radar data showed an unidentified object with no transponder, traveling at high speed on a track that intersected the no-fly zone over the Bush ranch in Crawford.
